By accessing or using Gate:M8s, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Description of Service

Gate:M8s is a micro-moment coordination platform that connects travelers at airports for spontaneous, in-person meetings (coffee, talk, work, language exchange) during wait times. The Service is currently available at select airports.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your profile.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You agree to use the Service only at airports where you are physically present.
• You must keep your password and account credentials secure.

4. Appropriate Use of the Platform

• Use Gate:M8s to connect with other travelers respectfully.
• Honor your commitments when joining a Moment (show up at the agreed time and place).
• Be courteous and respectful to all users.
• Follow all airport rules and regulations.

5. Prohibited Behaviour

You must not:

• Use the Service for harassment, bullying, or intimidation.
• Create fake or misleading Moments.
• Use the Service for commercial, advertising, or solicitation purposes.
• Impersonate another person.
• Use the Service for any illegal activity.
• Attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service's security.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from the Service.

6. Safety Disclaimer for Meeting Other Users

Gate:M8s facilitates connections between travelers but does not verify user identities or conduct background checks. You are solely responsible for your safety when meeting other users. We strongly recommend:

• Meeting in public, well-lit areas of the airport.
• Trusting your instincts and leaving any situation that feels unsafe.
• Contacting airport security or local authorities if needed.

Gate:M8s is not liable for any incidents that occur during in-person meetings arranged through the Service.

7. User-Generated Content Rules

• You retain ownership of content you submit (photos, messages, profile information).
• You grant Gate:M8s a license to use your content solely for operating the Service.
• You must not submit content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on others' rights.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Account Suspension and Removal

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service.
• Engage in prohibited behaviour.
• Pose a risk to other users or the Service.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

9. Intellectual Property

Gate:M8s, including its logo, design, software, and content, is the property of its operators. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Gate:M8s content without prior written permission.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for service interruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

Gate:M8s is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

• Incidents during in-person meetings arranged through the Service.
• Loss of data or account access.
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Service interruptions or unavailability.

12. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update or modify the Service and these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email.
